Cecilio Books LLC ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website (ceciliobooks.com) or contact us about bookkeeping services, how we use it, and the choices you have.

When you submit the contact form, we collect and store in our database:

• Your email address.
• Your language preference (English, Spanish, or Portuguese).
• The page where you submitted the form.
• A SHA-256 hash of your IP address (used only to prevent spam and abuse — the original IP is not stored in our database).
• The date and time of submission.

To understand the context of your inquiry, respond appropriately, and detect abuse, our system also gathers technical details automatically and includes them in the internal notification Debora receives. These are not added to our database:

• Approximate location — city, region, country, and time zone, derived from your IP address.
• Network — your IP address, internet provider, and connection details.
• Device and browser — device type, operating system, browser, screen size, and language.
• Page activity — the page you submitted from, the referring page, and basic engagement timing (such as time spent on the page).

We do not collect payment information or financial documents through this site.

If you continue past the contact form and fill out a quote request, you share more details so we can prepare an accurate, personalized quote. This may include:

• Your name, phone number, and business name.
• Your business website or social media handle.
• Your QuickBooks login email — used only to send you a read-only accountant invite. We never ask for or store your QuickBooks password.
• General details about your business: trade, state, entity type, how you currently keep your books, how far behind they are, the number and types of accounts you have, approximate monthly transaction volume and annual revenue (selected as ranges), sales tax, online sales platforms, inventory, and payroll.
• Anything you choose to add in the notes field.

This information is provided voluntarily, stored in the same encrypted database, and used only to prepare your quote and deliver the service you request. We do not collect bank statements, receipts, or other financial documents through this site, and we never ask for payment-card information. Only Debora has access to it.

We use your email only to:

• Reply to your inquiry within 24 hours.
• Send you the requested quote or onboarding instructions.
• Continue the conversation you started.

We do not send marketing emails, newsletters, or promotional content. We do not sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers.

We use the following services to operate this site:

• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, and edge delivery (privacy policy).
• Cloudflare D1 — encrypted SQLite database storing your email and the IP hash.
• Resend — transactional email delivery (privacy policy).
• Google Analytics 4 (Google LLC) — pageview and site interaction data, with your IP address anonymized (privacy policy).
• Security verification — a third-party anti-abuse service that checks form submissions come from a real person (browser signals and IP address only; no form data is shared).

We use the following tools to understand how the site is used and to improve it.

• Google Analytics 4 — we measure pageview counts, traffic sources, and site interactions (button clicks, scroll depth, form engagement). Your IP address is anonymized before it reaches Google, and we never link analytics data to your email. See the Google privacy policy.
• Security verification — when you submit a form, a third-party anti-abuse service verifies the request comes from a real person. It may collect browser signals (screen size, language, interaction patterns) and your IP address. No information from the form is shared with this provider.

These tools are used only to understand site usage, prevent abuse, and improve the service. They never access the contents of your messages to us.

This site uses one analytics cookie:

• cfz_google-analytics_v4 — managed by our analytics provider to distinguish unique visitors and maintain session state. Expires after 2 years.

Your theme preference (light or dark) is saved in your browser using localStorage. This never leaves your device and is not transmitted to us or any third party.

We retain the information you share with us for as long as our business relationship is active, and for a reasonable period after to fulfill legal, accounting, or reporting requirements. You may request deletion at any time (see "Your rights" below).

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Request deletion of your information.
• Object to or restrict certain uses.
• Receive a copy of your information in a portable format.

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

We may update this policy occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
